Renaissance
SAINT, a church in East London, launched Renaissance in 2021 with a vision to train young leaders in creativity. In 2022, the leadership team sensed a clear call to give Renaissance away to the global church, training 1 million leaders by 2040. But they needed someone who could take a complex event and equip teams globally without losing what made the event distinctive and compelling—that’s where Annie stepped in.
Annie led the global launch of Renaissance from London to New York, Australia, and Latin America, expanding reach from 1,400 to 5,000+ leaders across 22 countries. She led the team to turn the London event from deficit to breakeven, delivered the Australian launch with over 400 attendees profitably to seed fund Year 2 and launched the first event in New York with over 600 attendees.
The challenge was to articulate what made Renaissance so impactful and distinctive, and to translate its complexity into a form that international teams could replicate without losing its essence.
That meant equipping teams with the vision, values, and branding; curating the program with contributors, ministry times, and worship; and laying out a clear execution pathway—from budget and ticketing to marketing, safeguarding, and volunteer training.

The Approach
Renaissance helps people encounter their Creator, equips the creative, and empowers the local church to be a cathedral of creativity. It is for anyone who wants to change the world: creative leaders and church pioneers, makers and dreamers, artists and entrepreneurs — all empowered by the Holy Spirit to see a new renaissance flow from the local church around the globe.
At the heart of Renaissance are gatherings designed not just to inspire, but to equip and empower.
Events include MainStage, Labs, and Pop-ups.
MainStage brings the everyone together for worship, keynotes, interviews and ministry — creating moments where people encounter the Spirit, and rub up against big ideas that are grounded in biblical truth.
Labs are breakout spaces for world-class coaching. They are curated so people can learn from practitioners — not celebrities, but those who have done something remarkable that others can take home and apply.
Pop-ups are playful, practical workshops, from baking bread to knitting. A chance to learn new hands on skills because the discipline of stepping outside of your own strength into a place where you're learning again is important for fostering creativity. It's playful and the idea is to make stuff.
When Annie became Executive Director, her task was to spark Renaissance’s global launch. Central to this was protecting its essence while equipping international teams to carry it with confidence—providing not only the heart and vision, but also the practical scaffolding of logistics, budget, and safeguarding.
To make this possible, Annie — working closely with the team — built the scaffolding for global growth:
A launch playbook to protect Renaissance’s DNA while guiding local expression.
A phased global strategy with clear milestones and resourcing plans.
International branding and communications assets (in collaboration with OMSE).
Partnerships and in-country teams to ensure sustainable delivery.
A two-year funding base that gave confidence and stability.
In short, Annie helped catalyse a movement by embedding the knowledge, resources and systems to share it faithfully worldwide — ensuring that what began in East London could be carried into communities around the world, without losing what made it compelling in the first place.
Outcomes and Impact

In 2024 alone:
1,000 leaders were trained through RENAISSANCE LONDON from 130+ churches across 22 countries by 100+ contributors.
RENAISSANCE USA launched with a Renaissance NYC Night. 620 people attended from 109 churches across New York City.
RENAISSANCE AUSTRALIA launched in Brisbane with 401 attendees from 112 different churches from all over Australia.
RENAISSANCE LATIN AMERICA launched in 2024 bringing together 200 people from churches across Lima.
-
London’s flagship event shifted from deficit to breakeven between 2022 and 2024, while the Australian launch welcomed 400+ attendees at a surplus, seed funding Year 2.
-
Over the course of two years, Annie built partnerships and laid the foundations for the in-country teams to run NYC and Australia sustainably, also equipping the team on the ground in Lima, Peru. Partnerships with teams in San Francisco and LA were also underway, working closely with teams to run launch events.
-
Renaissance’s name and credibility grew significantly between 2023 and 2024, gaining recognition as a global creative ministry and drawing new partners into the vision. This momentum was underpinned by sustained communications and relationship-building with funders, senior church leaders, contributors, and—most importantly—the young creatives, entrepreneurs, and change-makers at the heart of Renaissance’s mission.
This was more than exporting an event model. It was helping translate a big vision to spark the imagination of a generation—to empower and equip people around the globe could outwork their creativity and local churches to become cathedrals of creativity.
